A man who stops. That's the whole of him and it's more than most — Jeff sees something wrong on a dark street outside the Quarter and doesn't keep driving, doesn't film it, doesn't wait for someone better qualified. He offers a ride, a phone, a way out. He is decent in the plain, unglamorous way that never makes anyone the hero of a story, and it does not occur to him that decency is a thing a person can aim at you.
